INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE

Symago currently assists the IRS, through its partnership with Accenture, by providing systems development, systems planning, operational strategy services, and support for three different projects under the TIPSS and GSA contracts. These projects are recognized as TRIS, ACS, and TeleFile.


Telephone Routing Interactive System (TRIS)
is a collection of automated self-serve applications that allow taxpayers to access information about their accounts through an interactive voice response system (IVR). Taxpayers may inquire about the status of refund requests and balances due as well as other related information. It is one of the largest and most advanced IVR systems of its type in the country and is used by customers across the entire United States.


Automated Collection Systems (ACS )
allows taxpayers to set up payment schedules for any balances owed to the IRS. Symago is involved in providing computer programming services for the backend mainframe of this system.


TeleFile
is an interactive computer program which allows taxpayers to file their 1040EZ taxes with the IRS and with certain states through the use of a touch-tone telephone. Symago handles the programming, support, and implementation of the IVR system used by TeleFile.
